When you have your child retell a personal narrative at home, go ahead and have them "touch-and-talk". Meaning, have them retell the story as they would in class, with 3 stapled pages. As they turn the page, listen for their transition and note that "And then" is NOT an acceptable transition as discussed at Back-to-School night.
